"Canada's Centennial
Community"
The town of Fox Creek is named after the small creek that flows through the south-western part of the town. While oil, gas and forestry are the economy’s mainstay, the wilderness areas surrounding Fox Creek are its main attraction. Fish abound in the nearby lakes and streams – including walleye, arctic grayling, parch and northern pike. Moose and deer are often seen in and around the town. The various campgrounds near town provide excellent staging areas for year-round outdoor activities which include golfing, hunting, boating, cross country skiing and snowmobiling. Rivers offer excellent canoeing. |
Population: 2335 (Census 2001)
1967, Fox Creek was officially incorporated as an Alberta community.
