You will find the largest museum north of Edmonton in this French Canadian community. The village boasts of its two most prominent cultural features in the entire Mighty Peace. They are the Girouxville Museum and the Grotto of our Lady of Lourdes. The Grotto has served as a religious pilgrimage destination for almost half a century. The pilgrimage is an annual event on August 15. |
