Ben Heppner
, raised in Dawson Creek, is recognized worldwide as the finest dramatic tenor before the public today.

In the Peace River Country, our expansive geography and natural environment set us apart from the rest of the world.

However, the friendly and welcoming people of the Peace Country may be our most important and unique "natural resource."

Some say the cold and snowy winters in our region are what make us so warm. Others suggest the constant flow of the Peace River is what makes us so cool and easy-going.

Of course, our sense of humour could be rooted in our interesting place names that include Rainbow Lake, Hudson's Hope, Spirit River, Northern Sunrise, Drift Pile River, Pouce Coupe and Sexsmith.

Watch for a bit of that special ingredient in each of our famous people and in the people-oriented organizations that support our communities.
